Bar
Rotator Ultrasonic Inspection Systems
This ultrasonic inspection
system concept utilizes a high-speed Bar Rotator to provide quick 100 %
surface ultrasonic coverage of pipe and tubular structures. Systems can be
manufactured with various geometries (e.g. pipe diameter and length
ranges) to suit a wide variety of inspection needs. Transducers can be
selected as a function of inspection requirements, but primary
applications are for thinning, delamination, cracking and porosity System
Features
Models available for pipe diameters from 25 mm
through 1 m and with virtually unlimited length capabilities.

Automated Robotic Work Cell NDT Ultrasonic Inspection Systems
Real-time, high volume non destructive testing inspection requires a
combination of the required inspect (pick and place) moves product
from an input conveyor (which the operator loads) to a multichannel
ultrasonic inspection station. Eleven ultrasonic transducers inspect
the part under program control. An automated accept/reject decision
is taken, based on stored acceptance criteria. The robot then moves
the part to an accept conveyor or a reject chute. The entire process
is fully automated and takes proximately 1 minute per part to
complete.
System
Features
Custom
designed automated work cell with hierarchical cell control interfaced with
automated NDT inspection systems.
High-speed, fully automated operation, part transfer and
disposition. Suitable
for real-time, on-line part inspection and integration on new or existing
production facilities.
Available with UT, ET, or AE NDT inspection methods, as a function
of inspection
requirements. Rugged
industrial methods and construction requirements.

Large Plate, High Speed, Ultrasonic Inspection Systems
The NDTA large plate inspection
system concept utilizes a high performance multiplexer to provide
high speed "solid state’’ scanning capability. This feature permits
a large number of applications and specific transducers to be
sequenced very quickly, emulating a ‘’virtual scanner" for obtaining
a C-Scan based image and analysis of large, rapidly moving plates,
pipes or other similar materials. The ultrasonic setup permits the
user to set the sensitivity system and also creates a permanent
record of the inspection. In addition, these systems are equipped
with paint or other marking systems that enable onsite inspectors to
locate and repair or remove marked sections quickly.
System
Features
Standard width
to meet customer specifications. Inspection
speeds are based on user flaw requirements but processing speeds up to one meter per second are
achievable for a 100 % coverage. System is encoded to accommodate
variable speeds and locate paint marking. Transducers are function of user
requirements with virtually unlimited choice.
